Summer Tyres
Summer tyres, commonly found on sporty and performance vehicles, offer exceptional performance and safety in warm climate conditions. As temperatures decrease however, their traction declines dramatically – it is therefore imperative that summer tires be changed out when winter arrives.
Our Summer tyres in Sussex are designed to offer responsive handling and secure grip in warm-weather roads, such as those found near beaches. Their shallow tread depths and unique patterns increase contact between road surface and tire for improved performance, with wide grooves to channel water away from their tires to decrease risk of hydroplaning during wet conditions – but they may not be suitable in icy or snow conditions.

Our New Tyres in Sussex

The Tread Design
Our summer tires offer greater grip on dry and wet road surfaces while providing lower rolling resistance, thus decreasing fuel consumption. Unfortunately, their shorter tread depth compared to all-season and winter tires means that they may not last as long and should be regularly checked for proper air pressure and damage.

The Tread Compound
Our New tyres use compounds designed to perform best at higher temperatures, with shallow tread designs offering optimal traction in dry conditions and perfect handling characteristics in warm weather. Unfortunately, however, they’re not appropriate for driving in winter conditions, and may crack or disintegrate at lower temperatures. Check out our winter tyres.

The type of vehicle
Your vehicle and driving style should both play an integral part when selecting your tyres. If you own a sports car, summer tyres offer superior grip and braking performance; conversely, all-season all-terrain tyres provide all-year comfort – depending on which season it is! Also keep your environment in mind, as this will have an effect on the performance.
